The issues faced by bakers operating in our province were discussed in a meeting organized by Kırıkkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Upon the request of the 2nd Professional Committee of Kırıkkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representatives of bakers operating in our province and members of the bread reference price determination commission gathered together. The meeting, organized by the Chamber and chaired by President Ahmet Varlı, was attended by Vice President Ali Dolu, Board Members, and 2nd Professional Committee Member Nizamettin Ayyıldız, Secretary General Ahmet Şerbetçioğlu, representatives from Kırıkkale Municipality, Agriculture Provincial Directorate, Industry and Trade Provincial Directorate, Chamber of Craftsmen and Artisans, as well as bakers.

Highlighting that the biggest problem for bakers, apart from increasing input costs, is the unfair competition created by some traders, Board President Ahmet Varlı drew attention to the heavy penalties imposed by the law for those who engage in exorbitant pricing and unfair competition. Varlı emphasized the importance of competition being based on quality rather than price and stated that despite all the decisions made and warnings given, some traders persist in unfair competition, while some businesses continue their operations without proper licenses, causing inconvenience for compliant businesses. Varlı pointed out that the solution to the problem lies in increasing inspections by relevant authorities and imposing penalties, and he assured that they always stand by traders who fulfill the procedures and perform their work well. The bakers participating in the meeting expressed their gratitude to Ahmet Varlı, the President of Kırıkkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry, for organizing this meeting that allowed the discussion of the issues.
