The Ministry of the Interior published an instruction to the public on the sharing of security cameras images on social media , which were used effectively by public institutions and the private sector, in order to combat crime and criminals. The following information was included in the instruction, which contains information about the measures to be taken;

City security management systems, license plate recognition, public buildings, especially in the apartment, site and workplace security cameras are recorded on a 24-hour basis. It is the responsibility of the tradesmen, public officials,  the private sector, the apartment and the site managers to prevent the use, use and disclosure of these images recorded by the security cameras, and to prevent them from being used by unauthorized persons. Regardless of whether or not it is a subject of judicial affairs; It is seen that the images bearing the nature of evidence or personal data within the framework of the Turkish Penal Code are sometimes shared by press organizations or via social media. These shares adversely affect the fight against crime and criminals, privacy and public order; and the ones that require sharing in terms of judicial and disciplinary legislation.

In this context; for the purpose of sharing the criminal security camera recordings through the press or social media, and get to disclosure by unauthorized persons; all law enforcement personnel and other public officials, building, apartment, public and private sector managers and all the city-center public transport to stimulate all the driver traders and other relevant measures to be taken in particular, taking the necessary measures against the judicial and administrative investigations of those should not be ignored.
