VOCATIONAL EDUCATION PROTOCOL

Vocational Education Promotion and Dissemination Project (METYAP) Meeting was held in Kırıkkale.

Süleyman Akgül, Head of the Workplace Based Vocational Education Department of the General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education of the Ministry of National Education, said that they will share the changes made in the Vocational Training Centers, formerly known as apprenticeship training centers, at the meeting held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hall. Explaining that they have changed the paradigm in vocational and technical education, Akgül said: "We took it from a certain point in terms of both legal regulation and sub-legislation and brought it to a point that we can call the new wheel system. Vocational Education Centers were established with the Vocational Education Law and when we look at the past, Ahi Evran Today, the Ahi system established by Veli is an activity carried out within the scope of this law. We implement the apprenticeship education system in more than 600 schools and institutions throughout our country. The number of apprentice students, which was around 70 thousand before our legal regulations and action plans, is around 150 thousand as of today. "

Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ahmet Varlı stated that the state and the Ministry of National Education are working hard on the apprenticeship education system and that they follow these studies closely. Stating that they are also trying to help these studies, Varlı stated that they will struggle to fill the gap in vocational education as a chamber. Provincial Director of National Education Yusuf Tüfekçi stated that their ultimate goal is to raise individuals who love their homeland and nation, who are loyal to their country and their flag, and that add value to this country. Stating that the Ministry of National Education is working hard everywhere for this, Tüfekçi noted that they worked at the same speed and in the best way in the Covid-19 process. The meeting attended by chamber and union representatives and vocational training center managers ended after the presentation.
