In collaboration with the Kırıkkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry and TOBB MEYBEM, a Steel Welding Level 3 Professional Competence Exam was held for those working in the welding sector in our province.

Since 2017, the Kırıkkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry has continued to organize professional competence exams in various fields that require certification. The 7th exam for Steel Welding, within the scope of Mandatory Professional Competence Certificates, was conducted in collaboration with TOBB MEYBEM (Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Vocational Qualification and Certification Centers Inc.). Nine candidates participated in the exam, which consisted of two stages: theoretical and practical.

The exam, aimed at those seeking a professional competence certificate in argon, gas metal arc, and electric arc welding, was held at the Vocational Training Center established by the Kırıkkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Ahmet Varlı, Chairman of the KTSO Board of Directors, emphasized the necessity of the professional competence certificate to eliminate confusion in the welding field and ensure that only qualified individuals operate within legal frameworks. Varlı noted that, under the Occupational Health and Safety Law, many businesses now require a Steel Welding Professional Competence Certificate. He also highlighted that the Chamber has issued professional competence certificates to hundreds of candidates in fields such as Used Motor Vehicle Sales, Real Estate Consultancy, Jewelry Trade, Construction, Overhead Crane Operation, and Machinery Maintenance, and that applications for the next exam period are still being accepted.
