22.2 million people, 75 percent of the country's population of 28 million, are in need of humanitarian aid because of the conflicts in Yemen since 2015.

Approximately 10,000 people lost their lives as a result of clashes, around 50,000 people were injured and the world's largest cholera epidemic began in addition to the hunger crisis; Aid campaign was initiated by AFAD to calm the crisis in Yemen and to meet humanitarian needs such as shelter, food and hygiene.
