PROCEDURES AND PRINCIPLES FOR THE PRICING OF PLASTIC BAGS

With the Environmental Law on the Amendment of Some Laws adopted in the Official Gazette dated 10.12.2018 and numbered 30621, which was adopted on 29.11.2018, the pricing of plastic shopping bags used for transportation purposes has been stipulated. 'In order to manage resources efficiently and to prevent environmental pollution caused by plastic bags, plastic bags are given to the user or consumer at the points of sale for a fee. The base fee to be applied shall be determined by the commission to be established by the Ministry and shall be updated for each year, not less than 25 cents. The procedures and principles regarding the arrangements in this article shall be determined by the Ministry. ’
