RENEWABLE ENERGY RESOURCE GUARANTEE SYSTEM

The European Union (EU) has reached a new stage in the European Green Deal since 2021. In the upcoming days, additional costs related to carbon emissions will be imposed on the countries exporting to Europe from outside the EU under the name of "Border Carbon Regulation". These financial sanctions; It is possible to affect many sectors from industry to energy. Although the details regarding the Border Carbon Regulation mechanism have not been clarified yet, it is thought that the option to document that the electricity consumed in production processes and other service stages is generated from renewable sources will gain importance.

Energy Markets Management Inc. (EPİAŞ) is planning to activate the Renewable Energy Resource Guarantee (YEK-G) System on 01 June 2021 in order to document and disseminate the use of renewable energy resources in electricity generation and consumption and to protect the environment.

In order to explain the YEK-G System to be commissioned in Turkey and operated within EPİAŞ; We expect the participation of our relevant members to the meeting, which will be held on April 07, 2021, between 14.00 - 16.00.
