Dear members,

Supporting R & D projects with Customer Institution, in which SMEs, which constitute the majority of industrial establishments in our country, will develop innovative products / processes as their potential customers; It will both increase cooperation and enable more efficient use of public resources allocated for R&D support. This process will also contribute to the sustainable development of our country. In this direction, with the 1707 Order R & D - 2021-1 call, the solution proposals that meet customer requirements can quickly turn into products by SMEs and R&D projects with high commercialization potential outputs will be supported. Carrying out R&D studies by the Supplier Institution in the projects to be submitted to the call; project output product will be expected to be commercialized by the Customer Institution and / or the Supplier Institution. The Client Institution will provide co-financing support for the R&D costs of the Supplier Institution.

Thanks to the projects, it is expected that cooperation between industrial organizations will increase and R&D outputs will turn into commercial products more quickly. In addition, it is thought that the call will encourage the emergence of spin-off companies from within the Customer Organization. It is anticipated that the call will increase the effectiveness of the national innovation system, by directly contributing to the processes of sharing, disseminating and productizing information.

It is required that one Client Organization and at least one Supplier Company make a joint application to the call and the Supplier Institution must be at SME scale. Application and support processes will be carried out between TÜBİTAK and the Client Organization. R&D projects with high commercialization potential can be supported from all sectors and all technology fields. Project proposals should include the work to be done by the Supplier, and a market research and economic feasibility review is extremely important. The Supplier Institution is expected to develop the product (or process) by carrying out R&D studies, and the Customer Organization is expected to follow the execution of the project as intended.
